Extruder Operation Masterclass

  1. Twist Off Bottom Ring: Unscrew the bottom cap of the extruder barrel.
  2. Insert Desired Disc: Drop your chosen steel pattern disc flat inside the threaded ring.
  3. Retract Plunger: Turn the T-handle counter-clockwise until the rubber plunger retracts fully into the barrel.
  4. Load Clay Log: Condition clay thoroughly so it is warm and supple. Roll into a cylinder slightly narrower than the barrel, then insert.
  5. Screw On Cap: Thread the cap with the disc back onto the barrel tightly.
  6. Twist & Extrude: Turn the T-handle clockwise. As pressure builds, uniform strands will emerge smoothly!
  7. Clean Blade Cut: Use a sharp craft blade held flat against the disc face to slice off strands cleanly.
