Artisan Loaf of Bread

Begin by rolling out a smooth ball of beige clay.

Second, use chalk pastels (yellow and brown) and a soft paintbrush to dust the outside of the ball, creating a delicious golden baked effect.

Use your craft blade to cut slits in the top of the loaf to mimic artisan baker score marks.

Then, cut the loaf into slices if you wish! You can cut one or two fresh slices off the end.

Texture the exposed interior bread crumb using a toothpick by scratching tiny microscopic patterns (see Texture Guide).
